laurenrocks's Diaryland Diary ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- they did the monster mash. well, no. dad's wife is apparently "disappointed" in me because brian spent the night wednesdeay night. she thinks that i am making poor choices and that i need to be more responsible and she thinks that by brian sleeping over, i'm going to get pregnant. it was a short lecture, so after she was done i packed and went to brian's. this was thursday night after i got off work. which was rad, by the way. i dig my job. i asked for halloween off, but i'm working on halloween. this pissed me off, but after talking to brian about it, i'm okay with it. i need the money. anyway, thursday night i got to brian's and we didn't do anything. we slept. it was nice. friday, brian didn't go to his classes and we ran some errands. AND THEN.... as we were driving back to campus there was smoke, deep dark smoke coming from the school. apparently, the electricity generator caught fire so they had to shut down the electricity on campus as well as some parts of the city around the school. brian's dorm was evacuated, so we had to grab all of our stuff and go to my apartment so that we'd have a place to sleep that night. we went there earlier in the day and had sex. it was wonderful to finally be alone. anyway, we got cleaned up and went to dinner and saw "scary movie 3" which sucked. awful. brian thought it was hilarious. the very beginning was funny, but it went tumbling downhill after that. after the movie we drove by the school to see if they had the electricity back on. the dorm was, and still is, being powered by a few generators, so we decided to spend the night in the dorm. since the electricity was off for the entire day, the AC hadn't been on in hours and the rooms were HOT. it was unbearable. brian's at work now :-( and i have to leave for work in two hours. i work 29 hours next week. this rocks because i need the money, but i really didn't want to miss out on halloween this year. i think i'll wear my costume to work on friday. in fact, i plan on it. brian and i went to the army/navy store yesterday and he bought me a black neck tie for my costume. he won't get to see me wear it, but i think next saturday after i get off work i'll come over dressed up so he can see. i hope he doesn't have too much fun on halloween. we were invited to a delta upsilon party and i'm pissed that i have to miss it. if i didn't have to be at work for a meeting the day after halloween at 8am, i'd go to the party. but i can't i think i'll stop complaining. yes, that sounds like a fine idea. besides, i think ashley is working friday night too. and ashley is my homie. and the store probably won't be too busy in the evening. i mean, last-minute halloween shopping shouldn't take place after six or seven in the evening. we'll see. i have to take a shit. today feels like sunday. i should pick up my mail from the post office. but i think the post office is already closed for the day. at least, it will be closed by the time i get my ass ready to go. i swore i would never eat ramen again. dammit. 12:54 p.m. - 10.25.03 ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
